My buddy Henry Mooner just quit smoking and I get frequent updates on his mental state. He called yesterday to talk about his dream where his bed was a giant pack of cigarettes. He actually crawled inside, closed the lid and drifted off peacefully.
"How Freud is that!?" he said. "Let me remind you," I said. "There's pretty convincing evidence that Freud was on cocaine for most of his career."
Now Hank doesn't feel so bad about smoking in the first place. Keep up the good work!

I'm a very conscientious laundry performer. I always check and then double-check the machine when it's done spinning. I carry my clothes upstairs very carefully to make sure that nothing falls out of the basket. How the hell can I have eight single socks in my drawer? How does a single sock disappear eight times? Why don't two of the same sock ever disappear together? Is there an insane puppet maker in my building? Is some creepy pervert sniffing socks to get off??? I fear we'll never find out. Here’s what I have left. PS. My right foot is cold.
